COVID-19 INFORMATION
New Safety Procedures
We have implemented the recommendations from the State, health Dept. and licensing. We have our drop off/pick up at the main gate, so that no parents are on campus. All adults must wear face masks and all teachers and students are required to have temperature checks and hand sanitize or wash when entering onto campus. Classrooms right now are maximum 10 children – per state regulations.
We are trying to gently encourage “airplane arms” to help the littles maintain social distance, we are also not promoting sharing of toys, art supplies or conducting a close circle time. Toys are cleaned and sanitized between each child. Our play yards are sanitized between each class by our facilities department, and when classes are outside, facilities also wipe down all common touch areas in every room. At the end of the day, all classrooms and yards are cleaned and sanitized again to prepare for the following morning.
Financial
In the event of governmental action or other act beyond the control of the Laurel Hall Preschool (“Preschool”) that interrupts or interferes with the Preschool’s ability to provide in-person instruction on campus, including the closing of a classroom for quarantine purposes or if your child is required to quarantine, the School may, in its sole discretion, elect to use remote learning platforms. In the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of a month, fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded, and any unpaid balance for the month will be payable in full. You will be informed of the charges and learning delivery method for subsequent months, with the option to continue to participate in the program at your discretion, but, if you do not withdraw your child prior to the beginning of any month, then you will be responsible for the full month’s payment. The beginning of month withdrawal provision only applies to the months subsequent to the interruption of in-person instruction on campus and until in-person instruction on campus resumes, in all other cases the regular two-week advance notice of withdrawal is still required.
Air Travel Policy
During this time of pandemic our policy regarding air travel will be as follows. Any staff, students or families of students that choose to travel by air are required to either get tested for Covid-19 two or more days after their return, and will not be allowed to return to campus until they receive a negative test result, or self-quarantine for 14 days before returning to campus.
