Helping families build amicable humans since 2006! I hold a BA in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Early Childhood Education with a focus in Organizational Leadership. Two fun facts about me are that I love horses and love child led conversations! 

Assistant Director/Teacher

I knew I wanted to be a preschool teacher at a very young age. I wanted to add happy faces to worksheets just like my teachers did for me. Most of all, I wanted to help; helping others has always been a huge part of my nature, and helping children is no exception. In the last nine years, I have dedicated my time to the Laurel Hall Preschool Community. I have been Assistant Director since 2019. I help steer the boat from time to time and do as much as needed and possible for our school. If you see me running around, chances are I am the boss for the day! 

Office Manager

I have been working at Laurel Hall for 6 years now. However I am an alumni of LHS and a member at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, so it feels like I've been here much longer! My education background is in Physical Therapy and Child Development. I also used to be office admin for home health care and health insurance companies. I am a huge animal lover and get very excited about anything Harry Potter.

I began this career by taking a Child Development class at Los Angeles City College and became so intrigued to learn more. In 2006, I was offered an office assistant position in the Child Development Center. After some time, I moved up to teacher assistant and, soon enough, lead teacher. It wasn’t until 2016 that I found my place here at Laurel Hall Preschool. If you don’t already know, I am a big fan of art, any art! I really enjoy making art with children; it brings me lots of joy! From watching them create to the finished product. FYI, I am the creator of both murals in the big yard!

I have been a teacher for 12 years. I love working with different age groups. I've been at Laurel Hall Preschool for 1 year. I like hanging out with family. I like going camping, visiting the beach, road trips and trying new foods.

I have a B.A in Early Childhood Development, I have been a teacher at LHP for 2 years now. I love working with the younger kiddos specifically and I am so passionate about providing them experiences that will impact their education positively. Quick fun fact about me, I don't drink soda.

I went to Laurel Hall school (K-8) and was always around the preschool growing up because my mom, Mrs. Carrie, started working here when I started kindergarten! This community has been just a big part of my life, so it feels very full circle to now be teaching here. After graduating from CSUN, I started working here in 2022, and spent sometime helping in all of the classrooms before teaching in Room 2.

I earned my Associate Degree in Child Development from Pierce College.  I started teaching at Laurel Hall Preschool in 2019 and have worked with age groups ranging from 2 to 5 years old.  One of the most rewarding parts of being a teacher is watching my students learn and grow.  Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and I enjoy painting.

My name is Emily Garcia, I graduated from CSUN in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent development. While attending CSUN I interned at their preschool as well as volunteering at my old elementary school. I began working at Laurel Hall Preschool October 2021 and have been working with the littles (2yr olds) ever since! On my free time I like to go hiking or spend time with family/friends!

My Name is Keoni but I most often go by Memo. I have a degree in elementary education & Human development with 13 years of experience in education. I can often be heard on the yard speaking a language other than English. I speak about 9 languages but only English fluently. I eat a lot of exotic meats.

I graduated from Cal State University, Northridge with a bachelor's in early childhood development. I have been a teacher at Laurel Hall for 2+ years and was a behavioral therapist prior. Three words that describe who I am are fitness, wellness, and faith. To list a few things that give me joy are going to train at the gym, spending time in sun, retail therapy when needed, spa treatments, and spending time with those who bring light, laughter and love around me. Random facts about me is that I am a Scorpio, a cat mom to 2 fur balls, I have a husky back home, and I love ice coffee.

I have been teaching at Laurel Hall since 2016 but have been in an educational setting since 2000. I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies & A.A. in Child Development. I am first generation born in the USA, while older sibling and parents born/lived in Guatemala. Also the first to go to college and earn a degree.
